Rep. Dina Titus has been the U.S. House Representative for Nevada’s 1st congressional district since 2013. She previously served as the U.S. Representative for Nevada’s 3rd congressional district from 2009 to 2011 but redistricting from the 2010 census changed the district numbers. Prior to Congress, Titus was a Professor of Political Science for 34 years at the University of Las Vegas and served in the Nevada State Senate from 1988 to 2008. Titus was the Senate Majority Leader from 1993 to 2008. As the Representative for Nevada’s 1st congressional district, Titus represents communities in Clark County east of the Las Vegas Freeway and south of Nellis Air Force Base, including parts of Las Vegas, the city of Henderson, and the towns of Paradise, Sunrise Manor, and Winchester.

In the 2024 election, Rep.Titus faced GOP challenger, retired Army colonel and financial planner Mark Robertson. This was a rematch from the 2022 cycle where Titus bested Robertson by more than 5 percentage points (12,585 votes). Rep. Titus increased her win percentage in 2024 winning by almost 8 percentage points (24,235 votes). Titus raised $2.4 million and her opponent, Robertson, raised $401,000. Given how confident, Democrats were about this race, outside spending wasn’t as much of a factor and Super PACs, national party committees, and other non-candidate groups only spent close to $600,000.
