Budzinski faced off and ultimately defeated the GOP challenger and Veteran Joshua Loyd by 16 points (53,422 votes). During the 2024 cycle, Budzinski raised $4 million, and her opponent, Loyd, raised $90,000. National party committees, Super PACs, and additional non-candidate groups were not as active here this cycle and only spent around $600,000, all of which supported Budzinski’s candidacy. This is Rep. Budzinski’s second time seeking reelection in this district.
