Democratic Toss Up
Lee has been the U.S House Representative for Nevada’s 3rd congressional district of Nevada since 2019. Prior to Congress, Lee worked and managed non-profits in the Las Vegas area. Additionally, Lee was the founding director of the Inner-City Games and also served as president of Communities in Schools of Nevada.
Under the new lines, Rep. Lee is in a better position for reelection. Redistricting made the swingy 3rd district bluer, with the new boundaries encompassing parts of Las Vegas. In 2020, Rep. Lee was reelected by 3 points, and President Biden won the district by 0.2 points. Under the new district lines, President Biden would have won the seat by 6.7 points. However, recent polls have shown President Biden’s approval rating in the state to be low. Lee is running against real estate attorney April Becker. In the third quarter of 2022, Lee raised $1.2 million and has around $1.2 million in cash on hand, significantly more than Becker, who raised $500,000 and has $600,000 cash on hand. This race is expected to be a Toss Up.
